Meet Amy

With over fifteen years of experience in the child trauma field, I bring a relational and inclusive approach to supporting professionals and organizations dedicated to improving outcomes for children and families. Whether you're a therapist, educator, case manager, or agency leader, I offer guidance, tools, and collaborative insight to help you navigate the complex challenges of trauma-informed care.

Healing from trauma is never the responsibility of one person alone. It takes a community of committed, compassionate adults working together to create environments where children and families can feel safe, supported, and empowered to heal.

You don’t have to do this work on your own. I’m here to help you strengthen your practice, deepen your impact, and create lasting change for those you serve.

  • Curious about my background? I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the State of Missouri and Co-Direct the Center for Integrative Treatment of Complex Trauma (www.itct.org). Prior to launching Amy Escott Consulting, I had the great joy to serve children and families at our St. Louis Child Advocacy Center at the University of Missouri St. Louis. In addition to clinical practice and licensure supervision, I led the Missouri Academy of Child Trauma studies and trained over 1000 child trauma professionals annually. I am an affiliate member of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network and provide coaching and consultation to providers across the US and Canada.
